ASP Backs Plant Workers Who Oppose New Fish Processing Capacity
The Association of Seafood Producers is doubling down on their opposition of the potential St. Mary’s crab plant. Last week the trade group, which represents seafood producers in Newfoundland and Labrador, said that a proposed crab plant in St. Mary’s “would result in less hours of work for those in existing facilities, and is the wrong way to build stability in the industry.” The group is standing by their statement and supporting the plant workers who oppose it.
