Oregon to Begin Spring Derelict Crab Pot Recovery Efforts Aiming to Prevent Entanglements
Vessels in Oregon will begin retrieving derelict commercial crab pots to reduce the potential for entanglements. According to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), the recovery program is a pilot project set up by the Oregon Dungeness Crab Commission (ODCC).
