JAPAN: Frozen Scallop Exports to China Spike By 80%, Frozen Yellowtail Fillets to U.S. Increases
According to the trade statistics released by the Ministry of Finance, the volume of marine products exports (fish and shellfish and their preparations and fish meal) in March decreased by 17% from the same month of the previous year to 58,093 tons. The value increased by 9% to 25,634 million yen ($196.87 million). Both frozen scallops and yellowtail fillets exceeded the same month last year, Minato Shimbun reported.
