Oceana Says U.S. Lags Behind E.U. and Others in Transparency at Sea
The conservation group Oceana recently released a report “Transparency at Sea: The United States Lags Behind” comparing the US requirements for vessel location monitoring to those of the EU and other countries. They say their analysis “reinforces the need for the U.S. government to expand regulations and require more fishing vessels to use public tracking devices.”
