USTR Requests Environment Consultation with Mexico Under USMCA Over Vaquita, IUU Fishing
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) requested an Environment Consultation with the Government of Mexico under the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA) on February 10.
The consultations concern the Environment Chapter of the USMCA in relation to the protection of the endangered vaquita porpoise, the prevention of illegal fishing, and trafficking of totoaba fish.
