2021 Hokkaido Surimi Production 12,889 Tons, 2.1% Less Than A Year Ago
The December production of land-based surimi in Hokkaido announced by the National Surimi Manufacturers Association on January 25 increased by 50% from the same month of the previous year, taking over the excellent production of Alaska pollock surimi after the summer fishing closure. Last year's monthly production volume was the highest, and as a result, the annual output managed to recover to 13,000 tons, which was about the same as the previous year, Suisan Keizai reported.
