U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Funding Will Help Fix Coos Bay's North Jetty, Ensuring a Safer Bar Crossing
The Oregon International Port of Coos Bay will be able to rebuild its jetty, making it safer for fishermen and shipping vessel traffic to cross the bar.
Congressman Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., announced recently the Port of Coos Bay would receive $32.7 million from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to support ongoing efforts to rebuild and maintain the north jetty.
