NOAA Report: November Shrimp Landings Remain Notably Below Historical Average Despite Uptick in 2021
The Southern Shrimp Alliance (SSA) shared preliminary shrimp landings from the Fishery Monitoring Branch of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries’ Southeast Fisheries Science Center for the month of November 2021.
In November, NOAA reported that 6.7 million pounds of shrimp was landed in the Gulf of Mexico, slightly higher than the 6.6 million pounds and 6.1 million pounds caught in November 2020 and November 2019, respectively.
