Toyosu Market’s Imported Fresh Tuna Sales in November Down 50%, No Shipment of Bigeyes
Tokyo's Toyosu Market received 331 unfrozen imported tuna (703 in the same month of the previous year) on the fresh tuna auction floor in November, a decrease of 53% from the same month of the last year, Jiji Press compiled, and Minato Shimbun announced. The number of bluefin tuna, including those from North America, decreased to nearly half, and wild southern bluefin tuna and bigeye tuna had no arrival, Minato Shinbun reported.
