DFO Hits B.C. Salmon Harvester with Nearly $90K Fine After Routine Inspection
Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) highlighted how a routine fishery officer inspection led to hefty fines for one British Columbia commercial fisherman.
On July 2, Garry Dean Stoner was sentenced in Terrace Provincial Court, pleading guilty to 12 counts under the Fisheries Act for violations that occurred between June-September 2017 and July-August 2018 in waters north of Haida Gwaii.
