VASEP: Shrimp Exports Up Through 10 Months as Shipments to US Rise, Restrictions Ease
The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) reported that Vietnam’s shrimp exports have risen 2.6%, to US$3.2 billion through the first 10 months of the year.
VASEP noted a sharp rise in shipments to the United States. The US accounted for 24% of exports, rising 25% to just shy of $1.7 billion. For the year, Vietnam is eyeing $4 billion in total shrimp exports for 2021.
