Disney Backs Caribbean Spiny Lobster Conservation Project
A $50,000 donation provided by Disney will help launch a program focused on the conservation of Caribbean spiny lobsters, which will be led by University of Exeter Fellow, Dr. Robert Ellis.
The program will be based in The Bahamas, where spiny lobster is a key fishery, accounting for $90 million each year and employing about 9,000 fishers per the University. The key donation to start the program hails from the Disney Conservation Fund.
