Japan’s September Tuna Imports Fall 53% to 378 Tons Year-on-Year
According to the customs statistics of the Japanese Ministry of Finance, the import of tuna in September was 378 tons for fresh and chilled fish. This was down 53% from the same month of the previous year, 658 million yen ($5.77 million); down 48%, and 15,142 tons, 12% decrease, 13,868 million yen ($121.73 million), 10% increase, for frozen fish.
