Japan’s September Exports: Scallops to China Doubled, Frozen Yellowtail Fell 20%
According to trade statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Finance, exports of marine products in September increased by 21% year-over-year to 42,187 tons, and the value increased by 47% to 22,048 million yen ($193.53 million). Yellowtail fillets fell below the same month last year, but frozen scallops grew in volume. Frozen bonito also exceeded the same month the previous year.
