Government Asks Judge to Reconsider Injunction in Jones Act Pollock Case
The U.S. Government is asking a federal judge to reconsider an injunction that has allowed over 26 million pounds of pollock to re-enter the market.
Shipping companies affiliated with American Seafoods, an Alaskan seafood firm, received a preliminary injunction from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)’s enforcement actions which include hundreds of millions of dollars in fines over Jones Act violations.
