FDA, CDC Say Seafood is Behind 14-State Salmonella Outbreak
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) believe seafood distributed by Denver-based Northeast Seafood Products is behind a 14-state salmonella outbreak.
According to the CDC, seafood distributed to both restaurants and grocery stores through October 7 by Northeast Seafood is believed to be behind the outbreak.
So far, 102 illnesses have been reported, alongside 19 hospitalizations and 0 deaths.
