Bakkafrost to Invest $985 Million in Growth, Scottish Operation Improvements

Salmon farmer Bakkafrost announced that it will invest DKK 6.2 billion (US$984.9 million) to boost its output by 40% over the next five years and transform its Scotland-based operations.
According to the Faroese company, the sustainable plan will see the output of its premium salmon by 40% over the next five years. It will be completed via a combination of employing idle license capacity and higher utilization of existing licenses by using large smolt.
