July Domestic Shrimp Landings Lowest Since 2010 Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill
The National Marine Fisheries Service reported July 2021 landings of U.S. shrimp (all species, headless) and the total was the lowest on record for the month aside from the devastating 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
Through July 2021 landings total 34.714 million pounds, 22% less than the 2020 Jan-July total of 44.587 million.
