August Sales of Fresh Imported Tuna at Toyosu Market Fell 25% Compared to 2020
The number of fresh imported tuna delivered at the Toyosu Market in Tokyo, Japan in August, calculated by Jiji Press, was 2344, a decrease of 25% from the same month of the previous year. The drop was due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection and the extended emergency declaration centered on the Tokyo metropolitan area affecting the fish deliveries of bluefin tuna, southern bluefin tuna, and bigeye tuna, reported Minato Shimbun.
