EPA Resumes Work on Permanent Protections of Bristol Bay Watershed
In an agreement released yesterday, the Environmental Protection Agency described a joint proposal for resuming efforts to permanently protect Bristol Bay before an important determination that Pebble Mine would harm Bristol Bay was withdrawn by EPA's Regional 10 Administrator under the Trump administration.
EPA acknowledged that it did not address the standard that the Ninth Circuit subsequently determined must be met for withdrawal of a proposed determination.
