Russia Ready for Significant Increase of Red Caviar Supplies to Japan
Russia may significantly increase sales of its red caviar to Japan this year, thanks to the ever-growing demand from local customers and expected record salmon catch in Russia this year.
According to data of the Russian Federal Agency for Fishery (Rosrybolovstvo), as of August 24, the salmon catch in Russia has reached 474,300 tons, which is by 2 times higher than in 2020, and by 14.4% higher than in 2019.
