Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Issues Citations for Commercial Fishing Violations
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has been busy this month. The Department announced this week that they’ve issued a series of citations for commercial fishing violations in Plaquemines Parish and St. Bernard Parish.
Earlier this week Timothy P. Cheramie, 56, and Michael Cone, 46, both from Plaquemines Parish, were cited for using skimmer nets during a closed shrimp season. Cheramie was found in possession of 118 pounds of shrimp. He faces a fine of up to $950 and 120 days in jail...
