Salmon Catch Continues Growth in Russia This Year
The catch of Pacific salmon in Russia this year amounted to 91,000 tonnes, which is 2.4 times higher compared to the same period last year, according to latest data provided by the Russian Federal Agency of Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo) and some local media reports.
The bulk of catch (78,000 tonnes) accounted for pink salmon, most of which is concentrated in the north-east of Kamchatka.
