Russia Considers Auctioning 50% of Remaining Crab Quotas
The Russian federal budget may receive about RUB 200 billion (US$2.6 billion) from the sales of crab quotas and other seafood on the auctions, which are planned for the next several years, according to recent statements made by Ilya Shestakov, head of the Russian Federal Agency of Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo) and some local media reports.
