A Higher Quality Requirement is a Way Out for China’s Tilapia Industry
After shifting greater attention to China’s domestic market, Hainan’s tilapia industry has tailored marketing campaigns to lure foodies at home. For example, in 2020 it renamed high-quality tilapias as Hainan sea bream and drafted relevant standards in order to ensure consumers that their qualities are the same as exported ones.
