Maine Man Pleads Guilty to Making Hoax Distress Call
A Rockland, Maine man pleaded guilty in federal court to making a hoax distress call, Acting U.S. Attorney Donald E. Clark announced on June 3.
Nathan Libby, 31 communicated a false distress call on December 3, 2020 while at Spruce Head Fisherman’s Co-op. Court documents stated that Libby communicated the call for a vessel and crew taking on water near Spruce Head.
