Fisherman Medevacked By Coast Guard off Hawaii Island
The Coast Guard said it hoisted a fisherman from a commercial fishing vessel by a helicopter crew 130-miles southwest of Kailua Kona, Hawaii on April 27.
The mariner was aboard the commercial fishing vessel “Vicious Cycle." The mariner was hoisted by an Air Station Barbers Point MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew and brought to awaiting medical services at Queens Medical Center.
According to the Coast Guard, the mariner’s condition was unknown at the time.
