JAPAN: March Imports Slightly Up From Below 2 Million Tons in 2020
According to the March trade preliminary report released recently by the Ministry of Finance, seafood imports (excluding non-edible marine products) increased in both quantity and value, continuing from the previous month. The volume of livestock meat has also started to rise, indicating a recovery trend. Also, in the 2020 Japanese fiscal year report, which was announced at the same time from April last year to March 2021, it fell below the 2 million ton mark, reports Suisan Keizai.
