JAPAN: February Shrimp Imports up 17%
The Ministry of Finance recently announced that the amount of shrimp imported in February was 14,803 tons, up 17.8% year-on-year and 14,975 million yen ($138.94 million), up 3.4%. The increase in "other frozen shrimp," which contains the mainstay vannamei shrimp, pushed up the overall quantity, reported Suisan Keizai.
