ANALYSIS: February Shrimp Imports Climb, Continuing Higher Trend
February shrimp import totals were released today and continued the trend, with a 2.5 percent increase from the same month last year. Total shrimp imports were 116.294 million pounds versus 113.474 million pounds. The year-to-date total is now five percent higher through the first two months.
Urner Barry Consulting Economist Angel Rubio forecast 121.401 million pounds for the month.
