South Atlantic Shrimp Fishery Posts Above-Average Harvest Year in 2020
South Atlantic shrimpers have something to celebrate: an above average harvest at a time when a pandemic wreaked havoc on markets.
Last year, 21.9 million pounds of shrimp (headless, shell-on equivalent weight) were landed on the east coast of Florida and in Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, the Southern Shrimp Alliance said in a press release.
