Louisiana Seafood Company Sentenced for Illegal Oyster Sales
Indian Ridge Seafood Company, a Louisiana-based firm, was sentenced to a $10,000 fine and a special assessment of $125 for the illegal sale of oysters in violation of the Lacey Act.
According to court documents, Indian Ridge knowingly sold and transported oysters from January 1, 2017 through March 19, 2019 commerce when the company should have known that said oysters were acquired and possessed in violation of state law.
