OSU, USFS Scientists use eDNA to Track Salmon, Trout Diversity

New research by Oregon State University and the U.S. Forest Service scientist shows that DNA extracted from Oregon and Northern California rivers water samples can be used to estimate genetic diversity of Pacific salmon and trout. Their findings were recently published in the journal Molecular Ecology.
