F/V Scandies Rose Hearing Begins Today After Getting Postponed Due to Pandemic
A public hearing on the F/V Scandies Rose sinking is finally getting underway in Seattle today.
The F/V Scandies Rose, a 130-foot crabbing vessel, sank off the coast of the Alaska Peninsula on December 31, 2019. A total of seven men were on board the vessel when severe weather ultimately ended up sinking the boat. Two men survived the freezing temperatures and high seas thanks to their survival suits.
