Japan's 2020 Trade Performance: Significant Reduction in Export and Import Value
According to the December 2020 customs statistics released by the Ministry of Finance on January 28, imports fell by nearly 10% in the last year, and exports remained at the same level as the previous year. However, both import and export values decreased by about 20%, and overall trade shrank due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection that caused global turmoil, reported Suisan Keizai.
