Clearwater Seafoods Closes Deal With Premium Brands, First Nations Coalition

Premium Brands Holdings and FNC Holdings Limited Partnership, representing a coalition of Mi’kmaq First Nations have officially acquired Clearwater Seafoods, a historic transaction for the Canadian seafood industry.
The CAD $1billion (USD $785 million) acquisition received “overwhelming support” from Clearwater’s shareholders. Premium Brands and the Coalition acquired all of the issued and outstanding common shares at a price of CAD $8.25 per share.
