Grieg Seafood Enters Joint Venture for Post-smolt and Land-based Salmon Farming
Salmon farmer Grieg Seafood announced it has signed on for a joint venture with Årdal Aqua.
Ardal Aqua will produce at least 3,000 tonnes of post-smolt each year and grow fish to harvest size in a new land-based facility in Rogaland in Southern Norway.
Grieg Seafood, which owns one-third of the company, said the move makes it the first global salmon producer to invest in a land-based farming method.
