FEMA Approves $1.8 Million for Puerto Rico Fishing Villages
Following the destruction of Hurricane Maria, FEMA approved a $1.8 million allocation to the Puerto Rico Department of Agriculture providing a “boost for the island’s fishermen,” as it aims to improve the safety and environment of their places of work.
Four fishing villages, which are home to 96 fishermen will be repaired and rebuilt using the funds.
