Crabbers Face Potential February Season Opening in Washington if Domoic Clears
Biotoxins just want to hang around Washington waters, it appears. Domoic acid is again delaying the Dungeness crab season north of Cape Falcon, Ore., the industry learned Friday.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife sent out a notice advising the industry that recent tests from Jan. 9 showed continued levels of domoic acid that exceeded the action level of 30 ppm in the viscera.
