NOAA Report: Seafood Industry Experienced Broad Declines in 2020 Due to COVID-19
A new analysis released by NOAA Fisheries today reveals that the U.S. fishing and seafood sector experienced broad declines in 2020. According to NOAA’s analysts, 2020 actually started out strong, with a 3% increase in commercial fish landings revenue in January and February. However, things began to turn in March when COVID-19 protective measures began getting put in place, not only across the U.S., but the rest of the world.
