Clearwater Shareholders Approve Premium Brands, First Nations Deal
Clearwater Seafoods shareholders approved the sale of the company to Premium Brands Holdings and a coalition of Mi’kmaq First Nations at a January 7 special meeting.
The Canada-based seafood giant said 99.89% of the company’s shareholders approved of the arrangement, representing a total of 45,812,801 shares. Premium and FNC Holdings, the company representing the First Nations coalition, will acquire the company for $8.25 per share, Clearwater shared in an announcement.
