The new FISH Standard for Crew will develop a voluntary, independent and accredited third-party certification program for labor practices on vessels in wild-capture fisheries.
The FISH Standard (Fairness, Integrity, Safety and Health) was made to ensure that fish sold in retail outlets and restaurants across the globe was harvested by crews recruited or hired ethically, treated with respect on the vessel, paid properly, and have fair processes to address grievances.
