MSC Raises Red Flags About Tropical Tuna in Eastern Pacific Ocean Ahead of IATTC Meeting
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) shared its plea to come to an agreement on stock management for a number of tuna species in the Pacific Ocean.
The MSC explained that starting on January 1, there is a chance that restrictions could be removed from tropical tuna fishing in the Pacific leading to potential overfishing of skipjack, yellowfin and bigeye tunas.
