USCG Cutter Alert Completes Marine Resource Patrol; Some Violations Questioned
The crew aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Alert (WMEC-630) returned to their home port of Astoria, Ore., Tuesday following a 60-day living marine resources patrol that began in late August.
The cutter and crew patrolled the California coast, from Humboldt County to the Southern Maritime Border with Mexico, enforcing federal, state and local policies aboard U.S. commercial fishing vessels.
