Nature Conservancy to Buy 5 Million Surplus Oysters, Assisting Industry Impacted by COVID-19
Oyster farmers that have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic will soon get help from the Nature Conservancy via the purchase of 5 million surplus oysters to be used in oyster restoration projects.
This program was undertaken alongside The Pew Charitable Trusts and in coordination with similar moves taken by NOAA and the USDA.
