Seafood Dealers Allowed Delayed Reporting in Some Areas Due to Hurricane Sally
The National Marine Fisheries Services has relaxed electronic reporting requirements through Oct. 31 for seafood dealers in some counties in Alabama and Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Sally's destruction.
The category 2 Hurricane Sally made landfall near Gulf Shores, Alabama, on Sept. 16, and caused catastrophic conditions in Mobile and Baldwin counties in Alabama and Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Bay, Gulf, Franklin, Wakulla, Leon, Jefferson and Taylor counties in Florida, according to NMFS.
