Oceana Report Confirms 300 Chinese Vessels Pillaging Waters Near Galapagos for Squid
In a brief but damning report conservation group Oceana shows non-stop “pillaging” taking place off the coast of the Galapagos Islands by Chinese vessels.
The report shows nearly 300 Chinese fishing boats, many with hold capacities of 1,000 mt, targeting mostly squid, just outside of the Galapagos Marine Reserve.
