Cold Storage Cargo Facility at Anchorage Airport Get $21 Million Federal Boost
A cold storage facility at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (TSAIA) may finally become reality with the announcement yesterday of a $21 million federal transportation grant to the Alaska Energy Authority which, with Alaska Cargo and Cold Storage (ACCS) plan to build the 190,000 square foot climate-controlled facility.
Seafood companies have for years supported additional space at the airport for processing, packaging, storage and air transport to domestic and export markets.
