Alaskans Furious at Governor’s Appointments to Fish Board, Water Quality Agency
Alaska’s fishing communities are roiling at the thought of Governor Dunleavy’s appointment of Abe Williams to the state Board of Fisheries (BOF), and of Jason Brune, as Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).
Both men are former employees of the Pebble Limited Partnership, charged with the design, permit, construction and operation a gold and molybdenum mine at the headwaters of Bristol Bay.
