Suspected Cases of Infectious Salmon Anemia Reported at Northern Harvest Sea Farms Site
A suspected case of Infectious Salmon Anemia virus was detected at a Northern Harvest Sea Farms site off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.
According to a statement from the Mowi-owned company via the Newfoundland Aquaculture Industry Association, the detection occurred in one case in one Atlantic salmon sampled through Newfoundland’s Department of Fisheries and Land Resources’ (FLR) species-specific aquatic animal health surveillance program.
